Membership in the Catskill Mountain Club is currently FREE, although in the future, as we continue to grow and develop, we may begin charging dues and make other changes consistent with growth such as incorporating as a non-profit organization. Membership is open to anyone who loves to spend time outdoors in these beautiful Catskill Mountains.
We do encourage everyone who joins the Club, however, to make a donation of $10-20 or more to the Club to help support our activities. On occasion we will send out special appeals for certain projects we are working on.
We also encourage our members to donate their time as a volunteer. Help is always needed, and appreciated, in the following areas (to name just a few): assisting with the routine operations of the club (such as preparing mailings or web site development); promoting community support and involvement; planning and conducting education projects; doing trail work or otherwise taking care of our natural and recreational resources in the Catskills; and helping to follow legislative or environmental issues.
By coming together to celebrate our common interests, and working together to give something back to our public resources, we can truly make a difference in the Catskills.
