Membership in the Catskill Mountain Club is currently FREE, although in the future, as we continue to grow and develop, we may begin charging dues and make other changes consistent with growth such as incorporating as a non-profit organization. Membership is open to anyone who loves to spend time outdoors in these beautiful Catskill Mountains.

We do encourage everyone who joins the Club, however, to make a donation of $15 (Red Hill level), $25 (Balsam Mtn level), or $50 (Hunter Mtn level) to the Club to help support our activities. Additional 'levels' of support include Overlook Mountain ($100) or Slide Mtn ($250).

We’re also pleased for you to know any contribution made to CMC is tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law thanks to the generous support of our umbrella organization, the Catskill Center for Conservation and Development. CMC is affiliated with the Catskill Center for Conservation and Development. Contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent allowable by law.

Through this partnership with the Center - a long-established not-for-profit organization, we have been able to guarentee safe and secure online donations. If you do not want to make an online donation, you can ALWAYS print out and send in your check (payable to 'The Catskill Center' with "Catskill Mtn Club' in the Memo line) to the address below.

If you own a business, you can have your business advertised on our Friends Page and on our sister website for the annual Lark in the Park for only $50/year. Simply provide your contact information (website, email, phone, address), a brief description, and your logo or picture of choice and include in an email or on the form provided. We also encourage our members to donate their time as a volunteer. Help is always needed, and appreciated, in the following areas (to name just a few): assisting with the routine operations of the club (such as preparing mailings or web site development); promoting community support and involvement; planning and conducting education projects; doing trail work or otherwise taking care of our natural and recreational resources in the Catskills; and helping to follow legislative or environmental issues.
