Enjoy a nine-mile outing to this 3,081’ summit in the Eastern Catskills. Rated as difficult, this ‘lollipop’ route is expected to last six-to-seven hours. Participants need to bring lunch/ snacks, water/ sports drink, insect and sun protection, head lamp, proper rain gear, clothing layers, sturdy hiking shoes, and poles (recommended).

Please note, dogs are not permitted on this hike. Also note, some of the low areas of this trail tend to be wet; and poor weather conditions will postpone the hike.
We will meet at the Kanape Valley Parking Lot at 8am.
Directions: From NYS Thruway Exit 19/ Kingston, turn right onto State Route 28 west. Go 16.1 miles to Boiceville, turn left onto Route 28A. Proceed three miles, and turn right onto Ulster County Hwy 42/ Watson Hollow/ Peekamoose Road and continue four miles to the Kanape parking lot on the right.
