Beginning in the Peekamoose Valley, this hike kicks off with a steep climb to Bangle Hill and then to Spencer Road and back. This route may be of particular interest for those looking to complete the Catskills All Trails Challenge. The nine-mile outing is rated moderate-to-difficult and is expected to six-to-seven hours. A side trip to the Blue Hole will follow the hike. Participants need to bring lunch/ snacks, water/ sports drink, sturdy hiking shoes, insect repellent, sunscreen, proper layers, rain gear, headlamp, and hiking poles are recommended.

We will meet, ready to hike, at the new Peekamoose Parking Area at 9am.
Directions: From NYS Thruway Exit 19 (Kingston), turn right onto Route 28 and continue 16.1 miles. Turn left onto 28a and continue for 3 miles. Turn right onto Ulster County Highway 42 (Watson Hollow/ Peekamoose Road) for 10.2 miles to the Peekamoose/ Blue Hole Parking Area on the right.
