Hike the loop trail on Bramley Mountain and visit the newly restored fire tower with John Sandman and Barbara Jones. If conditions are reasonable when we get to the summit, we will open the cab to the tower. This is a moderate hike of four miles and is expected to take about four hours. Participants should bring lunch/ snacks, water/ drink, proper winter layers and outerwear, cold-weather boots, and microspikes. Also, bring snowshoes and hiking poles, if needed.
This hike is limited to 12 people and registration is required. To register, contact John Sandman by December 30 at sandmajm@gmail.com Dogs are not permitted on this hike. Severe weather or trail conditions may postpone or cancel the hike.
The trailhead is located on Glen Burnie Road in Delhi, seven tenths of a mile from the intersection of Glen Burnie Road with County Rt 18, or 3.3 miles from the intersection of Glen Burnie Road with State Rt. 28 between Delhi and Andes. Note, there are two parking areas; we will meet at the lower parking area, just down from the top of the road, closer to the County Route 18 end of Glen Burnie Road.
